Wrapped up in cotton wool

I know it was only a few weeks ago that I was willing Layla to start moving and as much as it is nice to have her crawling around, I take it all back, I want her to sit still because if not I am seriously considering wrapping her up in cotton wool!!!

Within a couple of weeks she has gone from crawling to pulling herself up to standing and now she has started attempting to walk around the furniture. Clever girl you say, I agree, lots of proud mummy moments.

However I forgot how often they fall over at this stage!! I hate having to stand back and watch her trying to figure out how to get herself back down to the floor, she has already ended up with two bruises on her head from tumbling over and no one likes to hear their little ones crying. In my head I realise it is something she has to learn because I can't always be there to catch her. Maybe I should have pillow flooring instead of carpet while she goes through this process though or do you think she'd mind wearing a helmet and pads for now??

The one good thing that comes out of the accidents and tears is that I get to have cuddles with my ever growing baby, this is all just another reminder of how quickly she is transforming from a baby into a toddler.

Anyone else at the same stage with their little ones at the moment?? Are you a nervous wreck like me?

  4. So adorable! Mine is walking bravely all over the place and the knees, elbows and little chin are constantly getting it! I keep on telling myself: She will only be stronger for it! :-)
