Wilkinsons Food Processor Review

Recently I was asked to take part in a little campaign as part of the Making Money Go Further blog which is written by the experts at Debt Free Direct. The idea behind the campaign is finding out just how good supermarkets own brand electrical items are compared to those bigger brands out there, such as irons, food processors, hoovers, microwaves etc. Do we really need to spend that much money on our appliances or is this another place where we could be saving ourselves some much needed pennies?

Something that I have been in desperate need for for a while now is a new food processor, mine broke some time ago and I just haven't got around to replacing it. I was lucky enough to be sent a food processor from Wilkinson.

When it arrived I was slightly worried about how big it was going to be judging by the size of the box but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the package.

Inside you receive :

* The food processor itself
* 1.4L transparent jug with lid
* Stainless steel chopping blade
* Disc for shredding and slicing
* Plastic blade for kneading and mixing

The food processor when put together is actually quite compact and the black and silver colouring meant that it fit in well with the rest of my kitchen appliances.

Using it is extremely simple. It has 3 different speed settings and chops, blends, slices things up in under a minute.

There were three things that I really love about this food processor.

* One, it has a safety lock on it, this means that when the lid is off, it won't work, great if you have nosey children who like to see how things work themselves!!
* Two, it has little suction pads on the bottom of the processor, this means it sticks to  your work surface, no slip sliding around when in use.!!
* Three it is so quick and easy to wash up. The jug, blade, lid etc all come off with ease and there are no places where any food can get stuck.

I have been using this food processor on almost a daily basis since it arrived. I have made smoothies, blended up soups, mixed up pancake batter in there, I can't tell you just how handy it has been.

I cannot recommend this processor enough and when it is priced at £25.00 you really can't go wrong. The only thing that I think could improve it, is if they were to put a spot on the jug to make for easier pouring.

Overall a great value appliance that it is easy to use and won't break the bank to buy, it would be a welcomed addition to your kitchen.

Disclaimer : I was sent this food processor free of charge however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

  5. What a bargain! I tend to be of the opinion "you get what you pay for" - but seems not in this case!

  6. I like how quiet the motor is. I can talk on the telephone to obtain the final piece of recipe from mom best portable dishwasher whilst your KitchenAid food processor is doing the tough perform. My household members in the living space will not be disturbed.
