Eat Clean Live Well Book Review

This year I have been on a 'healthy' kick, getting myself back into eating well and doing regular exercise. The trouble I have when it comes to eating better foods is that I tend to start gravitating to the same meals over and over, you know salads and this leads on to me eventually getting bored and giving into the temptation of junk food. So when I was asked if I would like to review the Eat Clean Live Well book by Terry Walters, I was hoping this would lend a helping hand on keeping on the right path.

eat clean live well

This book isn't just a recipe book, it gives advice on just how to eat clean, where to buy ingredients etc. Broken down into the seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it is a real eye opener at just how simple little changes to your diet can make a huge difference to not only your body but your mindset too.

The recipes show just how good fresh foods can look with all meals from breakfast to dinner covered there is something to suit everyone's tastes.

And don't worry, anyone that has a sweet tooth, there are plenty of desserts to be found too.

One of my favourite recipes has to be the No No Bars, packed full of protein and so quick to makes, it makes for the perfect snack to have after working out or an on the go breakfast for when time is short.

Terry also shares little shortcuts and tips, these are perfect if you are struggling with the idea of eating clean, breaking things down to show you that the concept isn't so hard to put into practice.

There was one thing that annoyed me slightly about the recipes they seem to have been written for Americans so all the temperatures were written in ºF instead of  ºC or gas mark, this meant I had to google them before I could get started, not the end of the world but would have been better with all the metrics in there.

Overall I have really enjoyed reading through Eat Well Live Clean. Priced at £19.99, it is definitely a recipe book worth having in the kitchen cupboard. There are still lots of recipes I'd like to try and even better is that you can adapt a lot of them to your own personal tastes making an even longer list of dishes to eat my way through.
