Colour Me Mindful Review

Adult colouring has become more and more popular over the years. Colouring books have become effective at reducing stress, a brilliant diversion from day to day life. I have always been a fan of colouring, infact I made a video of my current colouring book collection last month. So when I was asked if I'd like to review Anastasia Catris's collection of Colour Me Mindful colouring books I literally jumped at the chance.

In this set I received three books : birds, tropical and underwater.

Each one is filled with beautiful drawings, each designed with detailed patterns and lots of wonderful line art. The images are simple yet intricate at the same time. Every page has something new to discover

There is a great mix of animals, birds and different scenes. And of course you don't need to colour each page in order you're free to pick and choose which one you'd like to make over. My favourite book ended up being the under water one.

When I colour I find myself becoming completely engrossed in the task infront of me. And I have to say it really does relax you. Your mind becomes so focussed on the colouring in that any other thoughts seem to leave your mind.

It is surprising how quickly the time passes as I'm deciding on which colours to put together and whether to use pens, pencils or a mixture of both. I like the fact you are taking someone else art work and making it uniquely yours and you don't need to be an expert artist, it is supposed to be fun.

These books provide a brilliant creative outlet, they allow your brain to work but in a gentle way.

What is good is that even when using pen, the pages are thick enough that it doesn't seep through to the picture on the following page. The only problem I had was that my girls wanted to colour in my books too, but these are something I'm not willing to share, I mean what if they go out of the lines??!!

Priced at £4.99 each, they are the perfect size to pop in your bag so you can always have them with you if you need a moment to unwind. Simple yet enjoyable, colouring is the perfect hobby to put a little happiness into your life.

Disclaimer : I was sent these books FOC for reviewing purposes however all thoughts and opinons are my own.
