Summer Storytelling with Little Tiger Press + Giveaway

The Summer holidays are upon us and I'm sure there are a lot of parents now sitting wondering just what are they going to do to keep their kids occupied. Of course there will be days out but not all entertainment has to cost the earth and that's where Little Tiger Press are here to help with some brand new picture books ready for storytelling this Summer.

My girls all love to read and stories are a fab way to pass the time, whether that's because you are stuck in because it's raining (good old British Summer) or perhaps you are travelling somewhere. Books are not only a brilliant way of stopping your children from getting bored, they provide the tools for your kids to keep learning and using their imaginations whilst they are away from school.

Let this be known as the Summer that changed Little Tiger as they release 4 brand new and original titles. The Messy Book, The Great AAA-OOO, Paws McDraw and There's No Such Thing As A SnappenPoop.

Now Little Tiger Press have very kindly allowed me to giveaway a set of these books as well as colouring changing shark bag from SquidLondon to one lucky reader but before we get to that I thought I'd share my thoughts on these modern tales.

The Messy Book

the-messy-book

Cat has made a mess and she won't tidy up. No matter how many times Dog asks her. Can Dog convince her to tidy?

the-messy-book

This story is highly entertaining and from a parent point of view I was nodding along at just what cat kept doing with the mess that she'd made. A great lesson for kids (and some adults) to learn and what great timing, just when they are home in the Summer ready to get out all of their toys!

The Great AAA-OOO

the-great-aaa-ooo

Watch out! Open this book very carefully because there's something inside making a horrible NOISE!

the-great-aaa-ooo

White writing against a black background and rhyming words with witty dialogue, this book is what I'd call quite mysterious for young children. Just what is making that AAA-OOO noise? We get to see plenty of different animals with each turn of the page, learning what noises each one makes and in the end we learn that anyone can get scared every once in a while.

Paws McDraw - Fastest Doodler in the West

paws-mcdraw

Paws McDraw is the fastest doodler in the West! He can save the day with just one sketch. BUT when the rascally racoon gang ride into town, has Paws finally met his match?

paws-mcdraw

I really enjoyed this tale. A unique concept that will get kids wanting to draw themselves. Paws is quite the artist and his sketches manage to come to life, getting his friends out of some tricky situations. Bright and colourful illustrations alongside a story that will get you thinking about problem solving, you'll have to wait and see if Paws McDraw manages to save the day.

There's No Such Thing As a Snappenpoop

snappenpoop

Little Brother wants to join the fun but Big Brother won't let him play. "Fetch me a Snappenpoop!" says Big Broher. "Then you can play..." But everybody knows there's no such thing as a Snappenpoop... or IS there?

snappenpoop-book

I had to laugh at this one, the dynamics between Big and Little Brother remind me very much of how my own children behave sometimes. They might love each other but they can be rather mean sometimes. This story really is one to get the imagination working, there's even a unicorn inside but I won't spoil the surprise for you, you know whether the Snappenpoop really does exist or not?

Now if you like the sound of all of these innovative tales then go ahead and enter the giveaway below to see if you can win a set of your own and a fabulous SquidLondon bag to put them in (as pictured below). Simply fill out the rafflecopter form below and cross your fingers. The giveaway is open to UK residents only and will close at 11.59pm on the 14th of August 2016.
