Wise Words for Kids Book Review

A couple of months ago I had the chance to review the fantastic Book of Everyone. This was what I described as a personalised book like no other, filled with lots of fun facts and pages where you can edit sentences to fit in with the person you are giving the book too. Well those clever people behind that top notch book have come up with another quite frankly brilliant book in the shape of Wise Words for Kids.

I was given a code which allowed me to order a copy for myself to review at no cost. Just like the previous book the process of putting it together is a simple one although I found myself putting a but more thought into this one as it's more quote based and what I wanted was a good mix of both helpful, meaningful and funny.

Unlike The Book of Everyone where only certain pages could be edited, in the Wise Words book you can literally edit every single page if you want, it is so easy to customise and make it tailor made for the person who will be receiving the book. On some pages I took inspiration from a few of the quotes that were already provided, changing the wording slightly and on others I came up with quotes that I liked and used ones that I had previously heard and obviously thought enough of them for my brain to remember them.

Not only is there fantastic wording on each and every page that you read, there is also some wonderful eye catching illustrations to entertain too. Each quote is placed in a speech bubble on top of someones body, so the speech bubble becomes the head and it appears as though different people are giving their own advice.

What I like about this book is that because it isn't a story, it's one you can pick up any time and have a browse through. I'd find it one that would build positivity to those who read it and I'd hope the words would be thought provoking enough to also inspire good things as well as making them laugh too.

Prices start from £7.95 for a digital copy, there are also paperback, hardback and deluxe versions to choose from. Another keepsake that will hopefully come in handy as your child grows older, something for them to look back on when they are in need of Wise Words to give to their kids when the time comes.

I've dedicated this book to my second daughter and I'll be giving it to her as a birthday present next month so I will update this review with her opinion on whether it really is filled with wise words once she's had a chance to look at it.
