Write It Out Book Review

My children all love to write, ever since they've been able to I've found them creating their very own stories, poems and letters, they even like a good list like their mum but sometimes the ideas can run out and help is needed and that's the book Write It Out can help.

Jam packed with hundreds of writing prompts, it is a fantastic job to trigger some inspirational thinking.

Make this book a special place to express yourself through writing. The entertaining questions and prompts will spark your imagination and inspire you to create a varied collection of creative work. You'll be asked to write a tiny story about why ice cream is so awesome, create a phony encyclopedia entry about the strangest sea creature you can think of, describe your first battle in the Water Ballons Wars, an more.

I really like this book because it's a great use of the brain. I'd say it is perfect for when the kids are off school for the holidays as it allows them to exercise their brains but in a way that they aren't aware that they are really working.

With an abundance of different questions about a variety of subjects from the sensible to the quirky, from the personal to the down right funny, Write It Out is all about the details, getting them to think just that little bit more when they put pen to paper.

Laid out in a way so that some pages need writing than others, some have lines whilst others you are left to freehand on the pages what you write, it is actually a great way to get them practicing their handwriting too.

I'd actually say this book is just as good for adults as it is for kids. Write It Out (£12.99) gets you thinking outside of the box and allows those creative juices to start flowing again. And who knows in the end it could give them the inspiration to write the next bestseller.

  1. What a fantastic idea....My youngest loves to write when she is in the mood. I think something like this would really encourage kids to put pen to paper x

  2. This sounds great! My eldest hates to write and the other two aren't keen either :( I think they can write pretty good stories at school when they need to, but they will never write at home!

  6. Sounds a good idea for those who need a little help with inspiration. My 2 are often busy writing. One of son2's bears is apparently writing a film script with a little help from son2 himself
