Mibo Board Books Review

Since way back in 2014 I have had the pleasure of reviewing some fantastic books from the Mibo series from Button Books. This included The Polar Pack, The Jungle Crew and The Safari Set and now zooming forward 3 years they've finally released board book versions of all three in the set.

Unlike the originals these books don't have pop out characters to make but they do have some familiar faces or should I say animals. Aimed more at children aged 0-3 what these books do is allow younger children to explore different environments with the use of pictures and rhymes.

The pictures are all wonderfully vibrant and with the short and fun fact filled rhymes weaved over the pages children will start to learn as they read. They have a modern take on animals and each book features five of them.

Not only can young ones learn about things from what they are seeing and being read but this knowledge can be expanded, asking about the sounds that the animals might make, what they eat, where they sleep, lots of questions to extend the learning.

At the end of every book there is a dedicated fact page telling you the names of each animal shown throughout the pages and tells you a little bit about each one as well as the places that they live and what we can do to help protect them.

Priced at £4.99 each, these books are durable, bright and most importantly entertaining. They would make a great gift for little ones and although aimed at 0-3 year olds these books can actually teach children from 3-8 a little bit too.

  1. These look lovely. It's great when board books can also educate older children too :o)
