Almost Everybody Farts Book Review

In this house we most definitely love a bit of toilet humour so when we were offered the chance to review Marty Kelley's book Almost Everybody Farts I knew it would have my kids in hysterics. It helps that there is a unicorn on the front cover seemingly pooping out rainbows.

Everybody farts, or do they?

On the inside of the front cover there are a variety of characters from wizards and singers to princesses and cowboys. And what do we think that all of these people have in common? That's right they all fart, that's just a fact.

As we turn the pages we are introduced to people, animals and all sorts of terrifying creatures and what we also discover is that not only do they fart, those farts are also rather unique, from rainbow farts to farts with fire, there's a fart for each and every one of you.

Of course my kids went on to tell me just what they'd name their farts.

Now I know this sort of talk isn't everyone's cup of tea but I can honestly say I found this book highly entertaining especially when every few pages we were told that Mothers do not fart (something I will agree with).

My kids chuckled as they read "pull my finger", they said the book must have been written about their dad which had me laughing even more. The illustrations that go along with the wording are just as entertaining.

I've pulled many of the faces when struck down by my husbands farts. And then there's all the different names for farts, you know when you're trying to be a bit more polite about mentioning them, one did not break wind. But do you know what SBDs stand for? I do after reading this book.

Almost Everybody Farts is a highly entertaining read, simple yet effective, definitely one to look at when you are in need of a good laugh.
