Little Loves July

It is the end of July. School is out for the Summer, so it is time to relax and soak up some much needed family time and being the end of the month it must also be time for this months little loves, keep on reading to see some of what I've been reading, watching and making, be warned there seems to be a running thing to this post.....

Read

OK I've read quite a few books this month but none of them compare to reading 4 absolutely brilliant school reports. Could not be prouder of my girls, they continue to improve and it's nice to know that I have nothing to worry about as far as school is concerned.

Watched

So two things I watched this month that had me feeling oh so emotional. Firstly my youngest's class celebration assembly. Watching pictures on a screen from when she started the school year to now and saying goodbye to a much loved teaching assistant. And then there was my eldest's year 6 leavers assembly. I knew I was going to cry, the pictures, the songs, the memories, and the she got an award for literacy. I still can't believe she is old enough to be going to secondary school in September.

Heard

This month I also watched my eldest daughter in her year 6 play, she had two parts, a presenter and a duet singing part. Listening to her sing was just wonderful because although I'm biased she really does have a beautiful voice but not only that she was just so confident, inspiring!

Made

Being the end of the school year I've been busy making gifts for teachers. I like things to be a bit more personalised and original but the other requirement is that they don't cost the earth to buy/make. The two ideas below were what my girls ended up handing out.

Wore

So this isn't what I wore but what my gorgeous first child wore to her year six prom, looking so much older than her 11 years.

And lastly....

Today isn't just any day, it is my youngest daughter's birthday. I know she won't be reading this post (although maybe she will one day), but I still wanted to say happy birthday to her. I'm still left wondering just where the time is going.
