Read With Me 2018 #2

Hello you lovely readers and welcome to another Read With Me. It's been a good start to the year, some fantastic posts linked up last week, thank you.

I got around to setting up my Good Reads challenge for this year, this will be my 5th year of doing it. My magic number this time, 52. I have decided to keep it low and opted to read one book a week. I think this will give me a chance to actually enjoy the words on the pages more instead of rushing through them.

Now my favourite post from last week came from Along Came Poppy with her fantastic wish list of picture books for this year, lots of inspiration there.

On to the link up. Newbies do look at the Read With Me page, regulars get linking (max of 2 posts/videos), comment on a couple of other posts and perhaps consider displaying my badge of linking back somehow.

Read With Me

Happy reading.

  1. Good luck with your challenge! 52 books sounds a lot to me, but I know you usually read more than that. I've already nearly finished my fourth book of the year, but I know I won't keep that pace up! I usually average a book every 10 or 11 days.

  2. Good luck with your challenge, do you think you'll be able to resist and just read one book a week!?

  3. I've set my challenge to 52 again this year. It's my third year of doing the challenge and I seem to be getting into a routine of getting ahead during the first half of the year then slowing down the second. It works well for me because from July things are always busier what with school holidays, getting ready for the new school year then all the prep for Christmas etc :)

  5. A book a week? I can't even manage one a month! You must be a super speed-reader!

  6. 52! Wow! I've gone a little lower than you and said 48 - four a month. And I'm on target so far!
