Another guest post for you all today, a little change of pace with a poem from Sarah over on Hills and Daffodils.

Ten tiny fingers...

Once upon a time you were so small,
Now you are growing up- so tall,
Ten tiny fingers on two tiny hands,
Now two large hand prints as high as you stand,

The yells for "MUMMY!" were once for a fall,
Now you hardly yell for Mummy at all,
Lullabys we once sang so softly,
Now you sing "LET IT GO!" so boldly,

Hello, Goodbye Santa

Merry Christmas to all of my lovely readers, I hope you have a really lovely day.

Elise has been busy writing some more poetry so I thought seen as it is Christmas day I would share one of her Christmas ones with you all.

Hello, Goodbye Santa

Hello, goodbye Santa
The jolliest of them all
The toys are amazing
That you have given us all

You came and Christmas says "hello"
Then you go and the children say "goodbye"

Oh thank you Santa
For everything you have done
If children were naughty
Their presents would be none

Hello, goodbye Santa
The jolliest of them all
The toys are amazing
That you have given us all

Touch of Poetry

I myself have never been very good at writing poetry, my eldest daughter on the other hand at 7 years old seems to have a real flare for it.

I noticed the linky 'Prose For Thought' over on Victoria's blog vevivos.com and I thought it would be a nice chance to showcase one of Elise's poems.

I Thought

I thought I heard a noise
I thought I heard a sound
I think my head is spinning all around

I thought something was happening
I thought something was going on
I think I should stop singing this very unhappy song

I thought I was OK
I thought I was all right
I think I am in a for a terrible fright
