Bitten by Kelley Armstrong #BringBackPaper

bitten by kelley armstrong
I hate to admit how disorganised I am lately but I am and it has taken me a while to catch up on my post overload but I wanted to share with you all what I thought about the book Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. I received this book as part of The Reading Residence's #BringBackPaper book swap.

Jocelyn very kindly sets this up for fellow book lovers to swap a book that they own with someone else, it gives everyone a chance to read something that they wouldn't necessarily have picked for themselves.

I was paired up with the lovely Laura over at Book Chick City and she chose to send me one of her favourite books, she actually bought me my own copy which I am so grateful for.

The blurb :

Elena Michaels didn't know that her lover Clay was a werewolf until he bit her, changing her life forever.Betrayed and furious, she cannot accept her transformation and wants nothing to do with her Pack - a charismatic group of fellow werewolves who say they want to help.

But when a series of brutal murders threatens the Pack, Elena is forced to make an impossible choice. Abandon the only people who truly understand her new nature, or hep them to save te lover who ruined her life, and who still wants her back any cost.

I have to say I was hooked from the beginning. This book I would say is brilliant for anyone who was a fan of things like Buffy. It has that kind of vibe to it only with more edge.

The story was filled with drama, twists and turns. A love story with a difference is weaved throughout an action packed tale.

Emotions run high and at times I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Each character was detailed in such a way that a world of fiction suddenly became believable. Elena appears to be strong but you learn along the way that everyone has their weaknesses.

Even though what I was reading was  make believe, I felt there were lessons to be learnt from this book, I mean even in real life not everything is as it seems, sometimes we can find strength in the strangest of places!!!

I will definitely be making an effort to read the rest of the series and I'm really pleased that Laura introduced me to this author.
