Nail Art Book Review

My girls have reached the stage in life where they are becoming more concerned with their appearance and this includes experimenting with both make up and nail varnishes. My eldest two have a bag filled with my old make up to have a play with, seems to be an extension to their dressing up play. We were recently sent a Nail Art book from Priddy Books which gave them even more of an excuse to get creative.

This book comes complete with over 1000 nail art stickers. Stickers is something kids seem to be drawn to so this was a great added bonus in itself. The stickers aren't all the same either, there is a great mixture of including a varity of animals and shapes. Very cute indeed.

Right at the beginning we are shown just what tools we made need to be able to complete the ideas shown within, most of which you should already have at home. For example nail scissors, cotton buds and sticky tapes.

Inside of the book there are explanations on how to prepare your nails, basic tips to get you started and of course over 20 different designs to have a look at, broken down into easy to follow steps, I say easy but my attempts so far haven't come out looking like the pictures.

From the simple, to the intricate, to the down right cute, there are designs to suit a range of personalities. My personal favourite, the fluffy clouds, I just want to make an aaaaaa sound when I see them. Clever yet seemingly simple.

But that isn't all. There are also quizzes to try and opportunities to doodle your own nail art designs, really bringing out the inner artist in you.

It is a great book not only for kids who are into nail varnish but for those who might be into subjects such as fashion and art too. Providing a great platform to get creative and use their imaginations. One of those books that is perfect for a rainy day.

Priced at £8.99, the Nail Art book is both fun and quirky, really appealing to girls but I'm sure boys can join in too!!
