Twelve Dates Till Christmas by Jennifer C. Wilson Blog Tour

It's October, so we're totally safe to mention the C word right .... Christmas. Well Christmas books at least.

I mean it's my two favourite things rolled into one, reading and festive feels.

Jennifer C. Wilson's novella is both fun and funny and I do believe even the blurb will have you wanting to read this one.

Callum and Lexie are perfect for each other - at least, that's what everyone tells them. But they're just good friends, aren't they? And neither wants to ruin the solid friendship that's treated them so well since university.

But when an old school friend of Callum's asks Lexie for a date, and passions overflow on a work night out, could it be the trigger to show each of them what they have been missing out on all this time?

This is your classic friends to lovers tale and it ticks all the right boxes.

Told from both Callum and Lexie's points of view, these are two people that are absolutely perfect for each other but they just don't know it .... yet.

Friends since their uni days, they have a way of being there for each other without being too serious about anything. But as their friends are getting married etc. could it be time that they seriously think about settling down?

In the run up to Christmas, Lexie meets Callum's closest friend. Sparks don't quite fly but they do have an initial like for each other.

Callum is left with a strange feeling, a pang of jealousy if you will, I mean Lexie isn't his type (according to him) or is she in fact the woman he didn't know he needed and wanted?

A lot can happen in twelve weeks.

I cannot say a bad word about this story.

Short, sweet and highly comical.

The banter between Lexie and Callum felt entirely natural, not forced or stilted like some of these stories can be. Lexie's friend Beth was a highlight for me too, I loved her no nonsense attitude towards this in denial pair.

Ok, it's not an overly original tale but to me that didn't matter at all. There was a brilliant mix of love, lust and humour all tied up in a neat little book. The perfect present perhaps.

With twelve weeks until Christmas, that’s a lot of opportunity for romance, and misunderstandings...

Merry is definitely how I felt when reading it.

But for those that aren't the biggest fans of Christmas, I can say that it wasn't overly festive. The allure to romance was front and centre of it all, those giddy feels were definitely there.

Twelve Dates Till Christmas is a highly enjoyable contemporary romance, one that is going to leave you smiling.
