Damart Clothing Review

The seasons are always changing and of course a change of season also means a change of clothes. Spring/Summer collections are popping up everywhere and I was lucky enough to have the chance to pick a couple of items from Damart's latest  range.

Damart is actually a French based company, I'd previously heard of them but I have to admit that I've never worn anything from them before. What they offer is a range that is both stylish and comfortable and let me tell you I'm all about the comfort these days!!

I chose to receive a printed jacket (£49) and a pair of Amortyl shoes (£35).

What I liked about both items was that they could be dressed up or dressed down, they worked with an array of different outfits which immediately makes them great value for money.

The Amortyl shoe comes in two colours, black and white. I chose white. You get a second pair of contrast laces with the shoes so that you can change the look of the shoe. The orange laces can add a pop of colour and really give a Summer vibe.

The cushioned soles are soft and even after hours of walking in them my feet remained comfortable, no blisters in sight.

Now most people will hate wearing white shoes because they get dirty so fast however that problem needn't be something to worry about as these pumps wipe clean with ease, leaving the shoes looking like new all of the time. Even after a walk down the beach on the pebbles my shoes were returned to their clean selves.

My only problem with these shoes is that they squeek when I walk. I'm not sure why they do this but it is a minor issue that doesn't actually affect how you wear them.

Now the printed jacket was a first for me because I tend to stick to plain clothing, I'm not a pattern kind of girl but I have to admit this has fast become a favourite item of clothing for me.

The print isn't to bright but I think the flower design comes across as fun but can look casual or formal depending on the outfit choice.

There is real attention to detail on this jacket. Gorgeous coloured buttons, shoulder pads and precise stitch work. My only complaint is that I wish there were real pockets not 'for show' ones.

As much as I don't like photos of myself, I've had fun trying the jacket and shoes on with different combinations of trousers, dresses and skirts, I mean I had to show you just how versatile they are and who doesn't like a mini fashion show.

Excuse my modelling efforts but see below for my how I've styled these products.

Have you dug out your Spring/Summer wardrobe yet? Do you a have favourite item of clothing to wear?

  2. Lovely review and your comment about the shoes squeaking did make me smile! Saying that, I do love the idea of wipe clean white shoes, as they can get mucky so very quickly.
