A Day In My Life With iCandy

The lovely people at iCandy kindly sent me one of their new Raspberry Urban Strollers with the instructions to show you a day in my life with my puschair in toe.

Now I do an awful lot of walking so this was a great task for me to partake in. I will apologise in advance and say that my life may not be the most interesting but do keep reading if only for the pushchair wonders you are about to witness….

Every day starts out with the obligatory school run. I have to admit getting Layla in a pushchair of late has been somewhat of a struggle as she has become Little Miss Independent although she can't walk very far or very quickly yet so a stroller is still needed. The funny thing is my youngest does secretly like a new pushchair as much as her mummy so was actually quite keen to jump in and test out her new ride (full review will be up in a couple of weeks).

After dropping the eldest three at school, Layla and I made our way to the library. We go once a week, normally on a Monday, we opted to go Thursday this week as the start of the week was rainy and gloomy.

The Raspberry's basket really came in handy here as it is so easily accessable and with plenty of room we managed to fit in our library books with ease.

On our return from the library we first stopped off to look at the fountain, something that my youngest insists upon every time we walk into town.

Then it was time for a quick snack before we making the most of the nice weather outside feeding the ducks.

The upright position on the iCandy allowed Layla to see her surroundings perfectly and with the brake firmly applied she didn't need to get out of her seat to throw the bread in the river.

Home for lunch and a much needed coffee break, the pushchair somehow managed to photobomb this picture…

In typical me style I'd managed to forget the shopping whilst we were out previously so it was off round Morrisons to stock up on yet more fruit and the fruit n nut bar that really was calling to me.

Then it was back to school to pick the girls up. My 5 year old decided to have a push giving the iCandy Raspberry the kid approval!! What I really loved was even with the basket piled high and another child holding onto the frame I could still push it one handed with ease!!

This may not be the end of my typical day as dinner, baths and homework ensue but unfortunately the Raspberry couldn't join in with these activities, it was left to rest up in the porch for the next day exciting goings on ;)

Whilst you're waiting for my review of the iCandy Raspberry, why not check out what Loved by Parents thought about it here.

  3. I am looking forward to your review of this pushchair! what a sweet family you have. The Raspberry looks to be a good bet for the pushchair we shall need, everything i have read online is positive and talks about how lightweight it is, i think the only issue my wife and I will have is picking a colour we both agree on lol. whats it like for storage? is it free standing? Thanks!

  5. Hi, I've bought one silver and yellow but the one here looks just amazing, can't believe the same stroller can look so different, think I'll switch to purple too. The basket is awesome, and the tidy box at the front wows my friends. My daughter uses that as hers.

  6. I bought one of these in black and blue for my then 6 month old and he hated it the straps are too tight with the footmuff in, the frame is really noisy on any type of pavement and it sounds like it's going to fall apart. The foam on the handle bars split near enough Staight away and you can't take the hood off to wash it as I have a blue hood it gets dirty easily. It's a beautiful looking pram, its light, folds compact (without footmuff), has a big basket but there the only good things I could find with this stroller sorry icandy

  7. OK I defiantly love this, fallen in love mayb even obsessed lol. my best friend has a Raspberry and she thinks I should get one for Billy. He'd just look cute in it around the parks and places like that feeding ducks. might get the longer straps for when hes bigger cos i need a pushchair that will last him til about 3 even 4 and hes a bit on the tubby side now even tho he's only 1 years old .nice basket too. You find it good to push around then looks good nice and accessible as you say. Cool reading this so I feel a bit more informed now, especially seen other people's opinions on here about iCandy, mostly good things people have to say overall i think so feel like I should invest lots of people seem to be talking about it right now so got to be hot property!
