First Friends Magazine Review

There are many comics and magazines available however most of them seem to be aimed at children aged 5+, there aren't a lot that suit younger children. The First Friends magazine aims to change this.

This comic is filled with stories, letters, numbers and colouring, as well lots of familiar children's cartoon characters.

It says on the front "fun to learn" and this is a value I think all kids should learn from a young age, we can teach our children many things but these needn't be a boring process.

The front cover of this magazine immediately catches your eye, bright colours and lots going on, my youngest was excited to see Ickle Pickle and The Hungry Caterpillar.

You receive a free gift, this time it was a lovely little tea set, lots and lots of stickers as well as part 1 of a height chart which you will be able to make with your child.

The tea set was a lovely gift, not some silly bit of plastic. It came in handy for some brilliant pretend play, specifically a lovely picnic with apple juice and cake mmmm.

Inside the first story was Elmer, this wonderfully colourful elephant has been a favourite of mine since my eldest was young, we've read many of these books and they are always entertaining.

I found this comic ideal for both my 3 year old and my 5 year old. There were parts that worked for both of them.

Layla had fun learning all about her colours, colour recognition is something that we've been working on so it really came in handy.

Gracie enjoyed reading the stories with me, it was a great way to teach her new words and reinforce ones that she had already learnt at school.

There are so many things to see and do inside, including nursery rhymes and bedtime stories. It is extremely interactive and filled with many activities perfect to do together as a family. There are even ideas and tips throughout to help parents encourage their child throughout their learning journey.

Priced at £2.99, I'd say that is a very reasonable cost compared to similar magazines on the market. Well worth a read!!

Disclaimer : I was sent this magazine FOC for reveiwing purposes however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
