Read With Me 2016 #18

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Read With Me. How are we all this week, read any good books? Well I'll tell you the books I've been reading lately.

Firstly there was Lavender Beach by Vickie McKeehan. I have to admit I struggled with this one, it's meant to be a romance but what I didn't realise before reading was that there was a paranormal element to it. Now I have nothing against this, I don't mind this type of genre when written well but this one just didn't work for me.

A romance that did work for me was My Clarity by M. Clarke. Ok it wasn't a blow your socks off book but it was very sweet, I'd say a nice holiday read but I'd certainly read more from this author.

One book I've not read yet but I have popped onto my ever growing TBR list is The Bombs That Bought us Together by Brian Conaghan, if any of you have read it I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Now my favourite post last week came from Thinking Parent, some brilliant recommendations of books for kids dealing with emotions.

On to this weeks link up. If you are new to this linky, take a look at the Read With Me page to see what it is all about. If you are one of my lovely regulars then get linking (max of 2 posts or videos), comment on other posts and if you wish you can display my badge below.

  1. Thanks so much for hosting and the reminder on twitter is also much appreciated. I must say that I have not been reading much lately except for the Julian Fellowes book (those that know Downton Abbey will know he's the writer) Past Imperfect.

  3. Thanks for letting me post my own writing again. I hate it when a book doesn't work for you as I always like to finish books and get disappointed when I don't/can't!
