Nibbles: The Monster Hunt Book Review

Nibbles is a favourite book character of mine. I was originally introduced to this loveable monster way back in 2017 when I was kindly sent the book Nibbles: The Dinosaur Guide. That hardback was an immediate hit with my youngest daughter and has remained a favourite of hers ever since that time.

If you've never heard of Nibbles allow me to tell you a little bit more about him. This little character has quite the appetite for books so you'll no doubt find him nibbling away through the pages of any book you discover him residing in.

A few weeks ago I was kindly sent the latest book to star this little monster, Nibbles: The Monster Hunt and it was of no surprise to me that he was back and causing a certain amount of chaos and destruction all whilst making himself new friends.

3 2 1 . . . BLAST OFF into another adventure with NIBBLES the book monster! Join him as he causes chaos, meets a dragon and makes a brand new friend . . .

This is the third book in the series and I'm in no doubt as to why it is award-winning.

The Monster Hunt, like the other books in this now iconic set, is imaginative and oh so clever in the way that it is presented and executed.

Managing to appeal to a wide and diverse audience, this is a book filled with plenty to get your child really using their imaginations and interacting with the book itself. The illustrations and the text when combined have a way of enchanting children both young and old.

With lifting flaps (which differ in size) and peek-through holes, younger ones will have hours of fun trying to chase the little yellow monster through the pages.

Older kids will be just as entertained with a variety of jokes and fascinating facts dotted throughout the story.

There is never a dull moment when it comes to Nibbles.

I mean there are books within this book - I bet that's intrigued you, he question is how could that even be possible?

You'll just have to read it for yourself to find out.

What I love from a parent point of view is that there is so much to be learned, there's an abundance of knowledge to be soaked up.

Whether it's little minds looking at different numbers, shapes and colours or slightly more inquisitive minds eager to absorb more information about the world in which they live in.

Nibbles is a much loved, mischievous character who just happens to find a touch of trouble on his travels.

Are you ready to search for him again? Prepare to laugh lots, learn plenty and love Nibbles more than you ever did before.

  1. This sounds very entertaining and I'm intrigued by the books within a book idea. I'm sure my nephews would enjoy it.
