Love You Bad by Louise Mullins Blog Tour

Sometimes you just need a short, snappy read to get you out of a reading slump and that is just what Louise Mullin's novel Love You Bad managed to do for me.

Kerensa lives a life of privilege few could imagine. Loving husband. Luxury home. Financial security.

But in the attic of their sea view mansion is a secret waiting to be discovered, threatening to destroy their perfect marriage.

Then their daughter's au pair uncovers Dominic's carefully constructed illusion, one lie at a time, and it ends in murder.

But whose?

Twisted.

That's how I would automatically describe this novel.

psychological thriller that put me on a hook from the first chapter.

Told from different points of view, I quickly sensed that Dominic was a dangerous character, out to gain all he can to make his own life better, no matter the cost to others.

The new twisty page-turning psychological thriller of 2021, perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Ruth Ware, and Louise Candlish.

Creepy.

I couldn't decide just where the story was leading.

Cleverly written because I was made to think certain characters were not who they were made out to be. Red herrings or clues to what lie ahead?

The idea of the novel for me was quite unique.

Quick and definitely thrilling in places.

Equally appealing to readers of romantic suspense by authors such as Kendra Elliot, Mary Burton, Melinda Leigh, and Willow Rose.

The story is quite dark, the concept disturbing but I will say for my own personal taste, it lacked a certain amount of grit in places.

Kerensa's emotions weren't as heightened as I would have expected for someone in her situation.

I'd say this sort of lack of detail was more down to the length of the novel but extending chapters could have taken away the (needed) fast pace that was driving the story.

Dubbed the Queen of Domestic Noir, Louise Mullins' titles often delve into the darker aspects of the human psyche where more often than not somebody a little close to home knows more than they're willing to admit.

Over all Love You Bad is a novel that you won't want to put down and is the perfect sort of thriller if you lack time to sit down and read for long periods of time.
