Summer at the Santorini Bookshop by Rebecca Raisin Blog Tour

I've always been a fan of Rebecca Raisin's books. They are pure feel good and escapism. So when I had the chance to join the blog tour for her latest novel Summer at the Santorini Bookshop, I of course jumped at the opportunity.

A Greek island holiday. A fake-dating pact. A chance at true love?

After losing her job as a book scout, hopeless romantic Evie needs a fresh start. So when she hears that her eccentric grandmother has just taken on a small bookshop in Santorini, Evie jumps at the chance to visit her.

But life on the island is not as idyllic as it first seems. Gran has a tempestuous relationship with her landlord and he’s threatening to take the bookshop away from her. So when Gran asks Evie to fake a romance with her landlord’s Greek God of a grandson, Georgios, to keep the family on side, she reluctantly agrees.

As the sun sets on Evie’s Greek holiday, can she save the bookshop – and fake date her way to love?

If I wasn't already a fan of Rebecca's, I would have been instantly won over after reading the blurb.

Books, book shops and romance.

What more could I ask for?

Set on the stunning Greek Island of Santorini, our lovely protagonist Evie is sent to check up on her Grandmother who has subsequently just married her 9th husband  (impressive) and opened up a Bookshop on the island.

The problem. . .

Evie's Grandmother is unfortunately struggling to pay the rent and her landlord is now threatening to close the Bookshop.

When Evie arrives, the question is could she help save the shop?

I loved this story because it encompassed everything I love about reading.

It was light-hearted, funny and of course the growing romance also helped. Who knew that fake-dating could turn into something more. Although I guess when faced with a specimen like Georgios, you'd be hard-pressed to not fall in love!

The author has a fantastic way of making me feel all the emotions without becoming too serious. Although I will admit, after reading this book I was desperate for a holiday in the sun.

Summer at the Santorini Bookshop is a story that offers sun, sea and happy endings.

This is a book you'll want to add to your summer reading list.
