I was recently sent some organic matcha green tea powder from Kiss Me Organics and I knew exactly what I was going to use it in first.. Matcha powder is known to boost energy and burn calories. This amazing ingredient can be used in lattes, baking and my favourite, smoothies. I love smoothies and I love green tea so what could be better than combining the two.
Below you will find my recipe for my favourite protein packed green tea smoothie.

Breakfast On The Go - Banana and Coffee Smoothie
It is no secret that I love smoothies and I have been making more and more of them since purchasing my Nutribullet (seriously everyone should have one!!). They are simple to make, they take away the need for cooking sometimes and it makes sure that I actually get my 5 a day.
There are so many varied flavour combinations, the possibilities are quite literally endless. I am forever experimenting with different ingredients and ok they might not all look the most appealing but they certainly taste good.
My latest creation is great as a pick me up but also fab for anyone that doesn't tend to have a big breakfast/needs to eat on the go.

Energy Boosting Smoothie Recipe
So while I'm unning myself on a beach somewhere ;) I've got a couple of guest posts for you reading pleasure. First up the love Kate from Family Fever shares with us a scrummy smoothie recipe :
Some days, I feel like I don’t stop at all. With school and nursery runs, clubs, work and household jobs I often don’t have time to sit down and eat a proper meal – let alone anything remotely healthy (yes I have had cake for breakfast before, please don’t judge me lol)
One way around this is to whizz up an energy boosting smoothie – full of the stuff I know I should eat but just, well, don’t. It goes down a storm with the children too!

Banana and Raspberry Smoothie Recipe
I hope I'm not the only one that has children that change their minds like the wind. One day they really like something, the next day they hate it. This happens a lot when it comes to fruit and vegetables. I've found a good way to get them have some of their five a day is to make a smoothie. The good thing about smoothies is that you can vary the flavours. A firm favourite in this house is the banana and raspberry smoothie.
Ingredients
* 2 x bananas
* 2 handfuls of raspberries ( I used fresh but you can use frozen)
* 2 tsp of sugar
* 1 tsp of vanilla essence
* 600 ml of semi skimmed milk
