Tallulah Gosh is really Teresa Gordon - an ordinary girl living on an ordinary street. Teresa feels almost invisible to the wrold, except when she's in her bedroom pretending to be the world famous singer of 'Tallulah and the Teenstars'.
One day her grumpy big sister Patti challenges Teresa to start a real band and to enter the school talent contest that is just a few weeks away.
