Lime and Avocado Dip Recipe

One of my guilty pleasures is crisps.

To be precise, crisps with dip.

You know the saying from Pringles, "once you pop, you just can't stop". Well this is true for any packet of crisps that I open.

If I'm not careful I find myself going through a big bag of tortilla chips and a tub of hummus in one sitting, slightly calorific!!

So I decided to experiment making my own dips, try to bring a bit of healthy back to my night time snacking.

Going Greek With Ella's Kitchen

I have always been a fan of Ella's kitchen and I have been lucky enough to work with them in the past. This lovely company are forever expanding and have recently introduced a new product to their range, 'Yummy Yoghurts Greek Style'. I was lucky enough to be sent one of each of the new flavours for me  Layla to try and some goodies to help us get into the Greek spirit of things.

My girls are huge fans of dressing up and couldn't wait to be made into tiny titans. We were provided with a sheet, a golden rope and a wreath, all we needed to do was get a little creative.

Independence means.....

..... that litte miss Layla has decided she would like to feed herself now.

Well technically she has been feeding herself since we began the weaning journey because we went down the BLW route. This meant that most foods were cut up in a way that she could hold them and experiment herself.

However when it came to the messy bits, like mashed potatoes, yoghurts etc, I would feed her with a spoon.

In the past couple of weeks, Layla has decided that she no longer wants of needs mummy's help anymore, when I've tried to feed her she has either turned her head away or pulled the spoon right out of my hands.

So I decided to be brave (I'm not a big fan of mess) and this morning I gave her a spoon, well actually she ended up with two, not quite sure how and I also gave her a pot full of yoghurt.....

Ok she may be eating with the wrong end of the spoon and yes I think she wore more than she ate BUT she did it, just another way of showing me that she is growing up.
