Outdoor Fun With Little Tikes

One of the things I wanted when we started looking for a house to buy was a decent size garden as the one we had previously was little and not exactly child friendly. Now we have lovely space outside. It isn't huge but it certainly allows for us all to be outdoors and enjoying the good weather (when we actually get some).

We even have a shed to store things in which of course now means that we need to fill our garden with some outdoor toys!! The eldest two have things like hoola hoops, scooters and roller skates but I wanted something more for Layla so that when her sisters are at school she can still play happily by herself.

A toy I always wanted but never had was a slide, and one that really stood out for me was the Little Tikes Junior Slide. This is a brand that I know and have had other products from in the past so I know the quality is good but the price is also reasonable (around £30).

What I loved straight away is that it takes minutes to build, no need for lots of screws and tools, simply slotting parts together. I will admit to getting the hubby to do this for me though, well I've got to make use of him when he isn't at work haven't I?!!

The colours are gorgeous, I opted for the purple and pink but you can purchase this slide in blue and green also. Automatically makes the slide look fun and inviting.

Being plastic means that it is easily wiped clean and a bonus is that it folds up so that it can be stored easily. This is a big plus to me as the one thing I will say about plastic toys is that they can fade in the sunlight so being able to store the slide away means I can keep it looking like new.

Now technically the slide is meant to be for children aged 3-5 but this didn't stop all of my girls having a go. It was really nice watching them all playing nicely together, even if Layla did throw a strop at having to wait her turn in typical toddler style.

I'm now trying to persuade the hubby to let us have a crazy coupe car, I'm sure I can squeeze myself in!!

What toys do you have for the garden, are there any that you'd really recommend??

xxxx

Disclaimer : I was sent this toy FOC from House of Fraser but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

  6. Ah we have that slide! My 3 year old still loves it - especially when it goes into the paddling pool! My 14 month old loves it too and can climb up and come down on her own now. We have the coupe too - that is possibly both girls favourite outdoor toy!
