Read With Me 2019 #30

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Read With Me link up. Thank you to everyone who linked up with me last week, I love to see all of your posts!

I have a question for you guys this week. When I go back to school in September I will be embarking on a new intervention called Reading Champions. This will be aimed at some chosen year 5 pupils, giving them a chance to have more time to read and enjoy the written word.

Now our first topic of the year is earth and beyond and what I'd love is for some space themed books and activity suggestions that I can draw inspiration from to get my group started. Any ideas?

On to my favourite post of last week. This came from Natasha with her review of the novel Missing Lies.

Time to the link up. Newbies do look at the Read With Me page, regulars get linking (max of 2 posts/videos), comment on a couple of other posts and perhaps consider displaying my badge of linking back somehow.

Read With Me

Happy reading.

  1. I'm afraid I don't have any book suggestions for year 5 kids, but that sounds like a really good work project, I hope you get some great suggestions from others!

  2. Son2 is space mad so we have loads of books. He is away so I can't ask what are his favourites, but there is a video including quite a few on one of my old posts here https://blogmumjd.wordpress.com/2018/08/31/wonderkid-subscription-boxes-and-giveaway/

  3. Sorry I can't help with suggestions, it's been a long time since I've had to think about activities and books for children of that age!
