Read With Me 2019 #39

Hello you lovely lot and a big, warm welcome to this weeks Read With Me. First things first, a big thank you to everyone who linked up last week.

I got a fantastic email a couple of weeks ago from Netgalley. I was granted one of my wishes, I was one of five people picked that day to receive a copy of Cecelia Ahern's latest novel, Postscript.

If you've read P.s I love You then you'll know just why I was so excited about this, because Postscript is the LONG awaited sequel and I can confirm without a doubt that it does not disappoint. It's utterly charming.

Another book that I was able to read was gifted to me by the author. Lana Grace Riva has written a novel that although simple in its telling, is actually quite complex in how it makes you think. The Existence of Amy includes a main character who alludes to the fact that she suffers from both OCD and depression.

What's clever with this story is the details that come out with the protagonist not having to say very much at all. A quietly thought provoking read, which is what made me want to mention it today.

My favourite post last week came from Sarah with her review of the novel After the End by Clare Mackintosh.

On to the link up. Newbies do look at the Read With Me page, regulars get linking (max of 2 posts/videos), comment on a couple of other posts and perhaps consider displaying my badge of linking back somehow.

Happy reading.
