May's Degustabox, What's Inside?

Last month I received my second Degustabox, I couldn't have been more pleased with what I received inside my box, so when I was asked if I would like to review the next 3 months Degustaboxes, I jumped at the chance.

Just incase you haven't heard of Degustabox before, let me tell you a little bit about them. Degustabox provide you with a monthly food box, the exciting thing about this, is that you don't know what you will receive, it is a surpsrise each month when you get your delivery. The boxes are packed full of delicious goodies including some well known brands and some that are new to the market. You can find out more here.

So what did I get this month….

Cawston Cloudy Apple Drink £1.00 : I got to taste their rhubarb drink last month which was extremely delicious and this one is just as tasty, not too sweet and very refreshing.

Taylors of Harrogate Blackberry and Elderflower tea £2.99 : Each box contains 20 sachets of tea. Now I am not a huge tea lover but Taylors of Harrogate may have converted me to atleast fruit tea, packed full of flavour, it makes a great alternative to other hot drinks. I really want to try the peppermint leaf and spiced apple one now!!!

Raw Chewing Gum £0.99 : This is a sugar free chewing gum which is meant to give you an energy boost. It tastes a bit like red bull. Made a nice change from the usual mint but I can't say that it really made me feel energised.

Kettle Sweet Potato Chips £2.49 : I am huge lover of sweet potatoes so I was please to find that these chips tasted exactly like a crispy sweet potato, I really enjoyed these, so much so that I didn't share them with anyone. With 50% less fat than regular chips, they make a great healthy snack.

Elizabeth Shaw Cocoa Crunch Flutes £2.59 : These dark chocolate sticks contain just 23 calories per flute, making these the perfect naughty but nice treat, especially if you are on a diet.

Lizi's Granola On The Go £1.29 : This cereal is perfect for anyone who is in a rush or perhaps commutes to work. The packaging doubles up as a bowl and it comes complete with a spoon, you just need to add a couple of spoonfuls of water and it is ready to eat. I was impressed, it was creamy, not dry and there were plenty of pecans etc packed in there, making it really flavoursome.

Dr Oetker Cake Release Spray £2.28 : I could have done with this when I was making my chocolate fondants, makes baking that much more simple by eliminating the need to grease or line trays and tins!!

Hornsby's Cider £5.00 for 4 x 500ml : Ok I have to admit I only managed to photograph one bottle as I may have drunk the other one before I remembered to take a photo. The strawberry and lime was delicious although I think some may find it a tad too sweet and the apple cider was just as good, ideal for a hot summers day.

Garofalo Pasta £1.89 and Cirio Passata and Puree £1.35 : I love a good pasta dish so look out for a recipe post coming soon using these ingredients. Garfalo make a huge 76 different pasta shapes, great for keeping dinners interesting and having used Cirio products before, I know they manage to provide a tangy tomato flavour to any dish!!
