Discovering Treats In Degustabox

I think every month I continue to be impressed with Degustabox. There haven't been many items over the months that I've disliked and in my house there is always someone that will be willing to eat/drink anything offered to them. Recently Degustabox has been all about discovering treats, especially their Db's discoveries so keep reading to find out just what was in October's box.

A Degustabox With A Boost

Upon opening this months Degustabox I immediately smiled. The item on top happened to be my all time favourite chocolate so it was a good start. I would say Spetember's box would definitely give you a boost, whether it be from a sigar rush, a caffeine refuel or a feel good drink, there is not one thing I didn't like. A Treat Filled Degustabox

Last time I received a Degustabox I remember it being relatively healthy, all good considering I am trying to diet. This month however I would say it it was the opposite, more treat filled, which I'm not going to complain about because there was cake!!!

So lets start with Degustabox's product of the month :

Barilla Penne Rigate £1.50 and Arrabbiata sayce £2.00 : Authentic tastes from Italy, these two together make for one delicious meal, add in some chillied pork mince like I did and you are definitely onto a winner.

A Coconutastic Degustabox

I will say straight away I think this has to be my favourite Degustabox this year. Packed full of healthy goodies with some alcohol thrown in for good measure, I was really impressed and have found products I will definitely be purchasing again. So what was inside??

This Months Degustabox Update

I have to admit I get a little excited around the end of the month because I know my next Degustabox will be arriving soon. Last month we actually got them a little early as they wanted to make sure we received them before the bank holiday weekend.

What's Inside This Months Degustabox?

Last months Degustabox certainly was a mixed bag. There was drink and food with a mixture of sweet and savoury and plenty of treats. I have to say it wasn't my favourite box but it went down well with the rest of my family.

The price of this surprise food box still remains the same, a bargain £12.99 with delivery and you receive a variety of items which give you an idea of new things available as well as some favourite brands.

As a reviewer I am lucky enough to receive all products however be aware that there are alcoholic and non alcholic versions available.

So what was inside the box this time round??

Veetee rice £1.49 per pack : My husband loves this rice. Available in a variety of flavours, it takes only 2 minutes to cook so is ideal for him to take to work with him. I love using it in stir frys too.

Another month, another surprise food box delivery from Degustabox. I get rather excited about the prospect of these turning up as Deugastabox has provided me so many ideas for new foods as well some favourites of mine making their way in there too.

I always look forward to receiving my monthly Degustabox, this time I couldn't have been happier when I opened up my box, it was like it had been taylor made for me. So many items that I'd been considering trying and others that I hadn't heard of but that would be a welcome addition to my diet, I bet you're wondering what's inside….

Whole Earth Peanut Butter with Sunflower, Pumpkin and Flaxseed £3.19 - Now this peunut butter is quite expensive however you can tell buy the taste just why the price is so high. Packed full of protein it makes the perfect spread on toast. I've been mixing it with cottage cheese and having it as a snack after exercising.

I can't believe that I've being reviewing Degustabox for a year now. I have to say I am yet to be disappointed by one of their boxes, ok not every item is to my taste but it certainly encourages me to broaden the range of food and drink that I consume, I'm more open to trying new things.

This month I think has been one of my favourites. It seemed to go along a healthy theme which was perfect for me because I am trying my hardest to stick to a healthier diet in an aim to lose a bit of weight and to generally feel better about myself.

The Chia Co Oats + Chia £1.70 - I am a huge fan of both porridge and chia seeds so to get them in a lovely package together is perfect. These are perfect for anyone on diets as you only need to add water so they are low in calories, high in protein and packed with flavour.

I do love a good surprise and I have to say I think this may have been the best box to date.

Zeo Drink £1.29 each or £4.29 for four : Avaialable in three flavours : Peach and Grapefruit Burst, Citrus Crush and Lime Zest. These carbonated drinks are not only tasty but refreshing too. They leave this strange yet welcoming tingling sensation in your mouth after drinking. A perfect choice for those hot Summer days.

Last month I received my second Degustabox, I couldn't have been more pleased with what I received inside my box, so when I was asked if I would like to review the next 3 months Degustaboxes, I jumped at the chance.

Just incase you haven't heard of Degustabox before, let me tell you a little bit about them. Chocolate Fondants Recipe

Last week I shared with you my review of April's Degustabox. Included inside this lovely box of surprises was two bars of Dr Oetker's Fine Cooks chocolate and a rather deilicious recipe for chocolate fondants.

Now her in the Hazelden house, we love chocolate and we also love baking so we just had to give this recipe a try.

Ingredients

* Oil or butter for greasing the pudding tins
* 125g Dr Oetker Fine Cooks 72% extra dark chocolate
* 125g Unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
* 2 Medium eggs
* 2 Egg yolks
* 50g Caster sugar
* 1tsp Dr Oetker Madagascan vanilla extract
* 1 tbsp Ground arrowroot

April's Degustabox, What's Inside?

Way back in February I was lucky enough to have the chance to review a box from Degustabox, I was extremely impressed. If you haven't heard of them before or read my previous post, let me explain a little, Degustabox are company that provide you with a monthly surprise food box, packed with ten to fifteen different products, a lot of which are completely new to the market. I was given the chance to review another box and let me tell you straight away that Degustabox did not disappoint, infact this box was better than the last one.

They have improved the packaging since I received my last box, lots of bubble wrap protecting the products inside, everything turned up in perfect conditon, no broken bottles and no crushed food.
