Everyday Essentials From Chemist Direct

I worked with Chemist Direct what seems like a long time ago, last time I was talking about the bargains I'd found and how fast delivery is. So two years on, how have things changed?

Well delivery certainly hasn't, I ordered on the Tuesday and had received my order by Thursday lunch time. And with the tracking that I was provided with I wasn't left wondering when it might turn up.

Eucerin Bath and Shower Therapy Review

A while back I wrote a post about the bargains that can be found at Chemist Direct. I was very fortunate to work with this company so that I could experience just how much money they could save me and how good their customer service is.

I was asked to pick two items for them to send to me for review. The first item I picked was Jungle Formula Mosquito Repellent because at the time of being contacted, we were due to go on our Summer holiday abroad.

The second item I chose was Eucerin Dry Skin Bath and Shower Therapy. Myself and three of my daughter's all suffer from different degrees of eczema and I had heard a lot of positive things said about the Eucerin brand so I was happy to get the opportunity to test this product out.

The Bath and Shower Therapy is a cleansing emollient which contains 65% natural oils and lipids which are designed to stop the skin from drying out.

What I like is that it is fragrance and colourant free and it is also suitable for all ages, so it was perfect to use on my whole family and would be ideal if you had a new born suffering from a skin complaint.

We used it on a daily basis at bath time for two weeks. I can't tell you that it completely cures the eczema as by the end of that fortnight, the eczema on each of us was still present, however it wasn't as inflammed and the skin was noticeably softer than before.

My five year old said that it stopped her arms from being so itchy, so the Eucerin obviously had a calming affect on her skin.

You can purchase Eucerin Baath and Shower Therapy from Chemist Direct for £7.48 which is a saving of 77p, not huge amounts of money off but I think in this day an age any money saved is worth while. The bottle itself is a very generous size and because you don't need to put a lot in the bath each time, it will last for longer than your normal bottle of bubble bath. You can of course purchase other Eucerin products to use along side the Bath and Shower Therapy, all of which can also be found on Chemist Direct.

Jungle Formula Mosquito Repellent Review

You may remember a couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about Chemist Direct and just how many products you can find on there at really great prices.

I was sent two products from their site, not only to experience just how their delivery service works but so I could test out the products sent and review them too.

I gave them a rough idea of what products we use in our household and it just so happened that we were off on holiday so one of the products I was sent was Jungle Formula Mosquito repellent.

jungle formula mosquito repellent

Now I have always been quite lucky when on holidays abroad, I rarely get bitten but I wanted to make sure that the children were fully protected.

My mum came on holiday with us too and the first night we were their, she got bitten a lot, they obviously found her quite tasty. I quickly remembered that I had the repellent with me, which she applied every day after and mum and I are pleased to say that she didn't get bitten again throughout the rest of our holiday and the rest of us also remained bite free. The only one I couldn't apply it to was Layla as it is only suitable from 3 years and upwards.

The jungle formula is easily applied as it is in a roller ball form, meaning no need to get it all over your hands and it also makes it easier to reach all thoughs little areas like wrists and ankles.

It can give you protection for up to 10 hours so you only really need to apply it a couple of times a day maximum and not only does it protect you from mosquito bites, it also protects from general midges and insect bites too. The 50 ml tube lasts really well, we used it on 6 people and I still have some left now.

The size of the bottle also meant that it was easily placed in the changing bag along with all the other essentials we needed to take out with us during the day.

What is great with this product is that it is available in different strengths just like a sun cream : natural, medium, maximum or sensitive skin, so one to suit whatever skin type and wherever in the world you are travelling.

I will definitely be recommending this repellent to friends and family, I think my mum will be too.

Always Looking For a Bargain

As a mum to four children, I go through my fair share of toiletries, you know the one shampoo and conditioner for all that long hair, bubble baths etc Not only that but three out of four my children and myself suffer from eczema so some of the products I purchase aren't the cheapest.

I was recently contacted by someone from Chemist Direct to see if I would like to review a couple of products from their site.

For those of you that haven't heard of this site before, Chemist Direct is Europe's leading online chemist which provides over 20,000 health and beauty products and perscription medicines at the lowest guaranteed prices, this is very attractive to myself as any money saved really does help these days!! It is fully regulated by Uk government bodies and is even supervised by fully qualified pharmacists.

I was given the option to choose items myself, so I chose a couple of products relevant to myself and my family, Eucerin bath and shower therapy and Jungle insect repellant ready for our holiday abroad this year. Keep an eye on my blog for reviews of these products coming in the next couple of weeks.

I love that there is live help on the site, so if you are struggling to find a certain product or unsure if a certain item is really suitable for you, you can get the answers you need quite quickly, no hassels.

Chemist Direct offer free standard delivery for orders over £40 and charge £3.49 for orders under £40, this I think is a reasonable charge compared to other companies these days. Standard delivery can take between 1-5 days to reach you. You also have the option to pay £4.75 for next business day delivery through Parcel Force, again not overly expensive.

I was really impressed with how fast my delivery arrived. It was sent through My Hermes and arrived packaged neatly and securely in a box, with no damage to the parcel. It took 3 days to arrive after ordering which isn't long to wait in my opinion.

With Chemist Direct allowing you to get your perscriptions, toiletries etc all in one place, it is a great site to buy from especially if you struggle to get out and about to buy things in town or if you are like myself and kept busy with the kids, then you can get everything conviniently delivered straight to your door.

It is one of those sites that I wish I had found sooner. Why not have a look yourself and see if you can find yourself a bargain!!
