Read With Me 2019 #42

Hello and welcome to this weeks Read With Me. I know I repeat myself but I like to say thank you to everyone that links up every week. Your continued support really means a lot.

This week I wanted to share with you a wonderful book that I was kindly sent by the author herself.

How to Write a Great Story which is written by Caroline Lawrence and illustrated by Linzie Hunter is a fantastic book, not just for children but for adults too. It is cleverly broken down into sections to really help an aspiring writer to get started on their story creating journey.

With a great mix of dialogue and illustrations, this book puts the fun back into writing. Going back to basics but not in a patronising way.

Caroline shares her methods, what has worked for her and gives some cleverly entertaining solutions to any problem that might arise (we've all suffered from writers block before haven't we!).

If you or anyone else you know wants to write their own story, this is most definitely a book that you want to read!

Now my favourite post last week came from Serenity You with their review of the Longevity Bible.

On to the link up. If you'd like to know more about this linky do visit my Read With Me page. For all regular linkers you know the drill, max of two posts and please make the effort to comment on others. You can of course share my badge below.

  1. This book really appeals to me as someone who is supposed to write a novel! Thanks again for keeping me on the reading track too - such a pleasure and you have changed my life for the better via #ReadWithMe

  2. Don't think writing a story is on my plan. A blog post is long enough for me

  3. I'd have loved this book as a child, I wrote loads! I really want to get back into creative writing so maybe it would still be good for me!! #readwithme
