Nestle recently carried out some interesting research, revealing the kind of challenges that parents like myself face when trying to make sure that their children are receiving the vitamins and minerals that they need. There were some weird and wonderful findings :
71 % of kids refuse to eat a plate of greens (you know the good stuff!)
47% of children have had a chew on some sort of bug from the garden. Some of the creepy crawlies included were worms, caterpillars and snails.
This gave nestle the idea to build a caterpillar of their own made from cereal. So they worked alongside food artist Prudence Staite to create a huge 10ft one to showcase just how nutritious cereal can be…..

Shaking Up My Wake Up #BreakfastWeek
Did you know it's national breakfast week? Well if you didn't you do now!! To celebrate Nestle Cereals challenged some bloggers to 'Shake Up Their Wake Up'. How you ask? The idea is that the kids and I needed to mix up our favourite Nestle cereals and give the tasty concotion a new name.

Getting Creative With Nestle
A couple of months ago I was set a challenge by Nestle Cereals, I had to write a breakfast diary for a week to show what my families breakfast habits were like and whether they needed improving.
Now Nestle Cereals made choosing what to have for breakfast easy because the green banners on the top of each of their boxes let us know that they contain wholegrain as well as at least six other vitamins and minerals.
Well this month Nestle cereals have set some bloggers a new task, this time we need to get creative, you know Blue Peter style i.e. here's one I made earlier.

Making The Most of Breakfast
If you didn't know by now, breakfast is considered to be the most improtant meal of the day. The trouble is knowing just how to make the most out of breakfast. I recently teamed up with Nestle Cereals to find out just how good my choices at breakfast time were.
Over the course of a week I filled in a daily diary describing just what my girls and I were eating for our breakfast. These diary entries were then looked at by nutritionist Juliette Kellow and I was advised to what I could do to change/improve just what we were digesting.
