Why I love my BabyBag

So the time has come to complete my final challenge with my Lin and Leo BabyBag. I know what your thinking, sad sad times!!

You have been with me on on my journey and you have seen how it copes on a family day out, just how the BabyBag works with any style and how the BabyBag kept me company during my me time.

My final task is to let you know my final thoughts, how useful was the BabyBag, would I buy one if I had the chance??

I really cannot find anything negative to say about this bag. It it is stylish, even if you feel frumpy, wearing this bag makes you feel better about the way you look and with all the compliments you get from people whilst your wearing it, you can't help but have a smile on your face. Trust me, just look at the picture below, it is very well made, attention to detail with the pink stitching around the edges. And with two different ways of carrying the BabyBag, it means that you can change how you wear it to suit where you are taking/what you are using it for.

The size of this bag is extremely deceiving. It is surprising just how spacious it is, with pockets on both the inside and outside, there is room for literally everything, well except that kitchen sink. This makes it ideal as a changing bag but also great for mummy to use as a day to day bag or even an over night bag.

This bag has even been travelling in the short time I have had it in my possession and what better place to take it than Ibiza!!! It got to experience the sun, sea and sand with us, it was the perfect size to use it as hand luggage. You can see it hanging off the stroller in the picture below, oh and I thought I'd add a little eye candy in too, even Daddy Hazelden looks good near the BabyBag ;)

So my final thoughts on the BabyBag, honestly, I think I can sum it up in three words, stylish, spacious and versatile. Well worth the price you would pay. I have used this bag daily since being sent it and I think I will be using it for years to come.

Disclaimer : I was sent the BabyBag free of charge as part of an ongoing challenge with Lin and Leo however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

A bit of me time with my BabyBag

So after challenge one and two, last week we were set our third challenge by Lin & Leo. We were challenged to have a bit of "me time" and to come back and show how we spent our time.

Now my response to this was, "this really is a challenge". As a mum to four kids, I don't really get time to myself because during the week, Daddy Hazelden is busy working so I look after our brood and the weekend is spent enjoying time together as a whole family.

With this in mind, let me show you those little bits of free time I managed to find this week :

This is me with a rare bit of quiet time. Ok ok so I might not be out and about but do you see anyone else around?? Eldest two were at school, three year old at playschool and Layla was having a rare nap upstairs. So this how I like to spend my "me time", with my bum firmly plonked on the sofa and laptop infront of me, this is when I catch up on my blog posts, get tweeting etc (yes I am a social media addict). As you can see my BabyBag spent this time with me, well it did have my note book in there which reminds what reviews I need to write every day.

By this point you may think I am cheating slightly with this challenge but honestly "me time" is so hard to come by. Monday night I actually had a bath with no children joining me, well for 5 minutes atleast, a couple of monkeys did eventually venture in to have a chat with me but I thought while I was on my lonesome the BabyBag could join me and keep me company!!

My final go at having "me time", well it is a running joke in our household that going to toilet in the house seems to be a spectators sport so just for this challenge I had to change this habit didn't I. And yes I know what you are all thinking, what a lovely pair of knickers I am wearing!! :)

So there we have it, challenge three attempted, not sure if I passed this one but I'm sure you will agree I should get an A for effort!!.

Bring on challenge 4

Styling it up with the BabyBag

So last Friday I was set my second Lin and Leo challenge, I had to "style it up", you can find my first one here. Basically this meant a little fashion show to demonstrate my favourite outfits all completed with the lovely BabyBag.

Well you might think this challenge sounds quite simple but I am not a big fan of being in front of the camera, if you have ever seen the episode of friends where Chandler and Monica need to have their engagement picture taken then you will know what I mean when I say I can't smile for the camera!!

However I will now show you a series of looks. My eldest daughter took these pictures so I blame the photographer if I don't make the BabyBag look as good as it could.

To the left is my first outfit. Now you may be thinking that isn't very stylish, well you are, I think most, definitely right. However my email did say my favourite outfits and I do where this outfit a lot.

If you hadn't guessed it already, I wear this stunning little number every week when I go exercising.

I happen to think that the BabyBag would actually make a good gym bag and who doesn't want to look good while they are working out!!

The outfit in the picture to the right is one of my all time favourites.

I think it is a dress that not many people will have, I know I am not the only one who doesn't want to always be wearing the "in thing" all of the time.

Do tell me if I am wrong but I think the colours in my dress and the bag compliment each other and I believe people might be mistaken and think I am carrying a handbag instead of what is actually a changing bag.

Next up is this obligatory piece of denim. Everyone has to have atleast one piece of denim in their wardrobe, whether it be a pair jeans, a denim jacket or even those shorts you are dying to fit into for Summer.

The skirt I am wearing is one of my best pieces of clothing, it is actually 12 years old, so I guess that it could almost be classed as vintage.

Now a part from the fact that I could get a really bad tan line by wearing the bag over me like that with my boob tube on, I don't think it looks too bad??

This is what I like to think of as casual. You can see the casual look in the way I'm posing can't you?? :)

Vest top with crop top layered over it, comfy comfy leggings and flip flops complete the look. This is how I tend to dress most days, with four girls to get ready in the mornings, I don't have a lot of time to get myself look presentable.

I found the purple of the crop top made the turquoise of the BabyBag really stand out, my two favourite colours brought together.

Hands up who loves a maxi dress!!!

Over the years I have purchased many maxi dresses, not only are the great for those hot Summer days, they are brilliant if you really don't like showing off your legs.

My only problem is because I am such a shorty, even when I buy petite, the dress still manages to reach the floor and I look like a person who doesn't have feet.

My girls said this was their favourite picture out of the ones that were taken.

The stripes not taking away from accessory I am trying to show off.

And my final effort at "styling up" was with my love rose patterned playsuit.

This is a staple item in my Summer closet because I can wear it as a day or night time outfit depending on what accessories I put with it.

The BabyBag would actually be taken out at night, it might be bigger than the average handbag but atleast you would be able to fit in your make up, purse, phone, keys and a change of shoes, you know, for when those extremely high heels just become unbearable to wear!!!

So there we have it. Now you really know what the blogger behind the writing really looks like. Do you think my "style" compliments the BabyBag, do we think I could be a model in the making?? Ok maybe don't answer that second question.

Cannot wait to see what challenge number 3 will be!!!

Family day out with my Lin & Leo BabyBag

If you haven't heard the news, I was one of five bloggers that was chosen by Lin & Leo to review their gorgeous BabyBag.

To review the BabyBag, Lin & Leo are setting us four challenges to showcase just how good their bag really is. Challenge one was set last Friday, the challenge was to take the BabyBag on a family day out, challenge accepted!!!!

Unfortunately I had to wait a few days to actually take part in the challenge because typical British weather (you know rain, rain and more rain) meant that we were trapped indoors.

However Tuesday brought much needed sunshine and it was also my eldest twos Sports Day, this meant an afternoon out watching and joining in with races, this also meant I needed to pack up the BabyBag.

As you can see from the photo on the left, I had to take a fair amount with me :

* drinks for all the children
* snacks
* picnic blanket
* nappy wallet filled with nappies, wipes and nappy sacks
* changing mat
* change of clothes for Layla
* hats for all four children
* toys for Layla
* suncream
* phone
* purse
* keys

The bag looks quite small but looks can be deceiving. The photo on the right shows just how I managed to get all the items mentioned above to fit into the bag with ease.

I think the many pockets on the BabyBag really helped because it meant that I could fit plenty on the outside as well as in the inside of it. The bottles of drink, the sun cream, the snacks and my phone and keys were placed in the outside pockets, the only zip I couldn't close was the back one because the drinks bottles were taller than the pocket itself.

I have to admit the bag was quite weighty once I had filled it but the soft leather strap made it comfortable to carry, it didn't dig into my shoulders at all.

I admit after a little while I decided to hang the BabyBag on the pushchair rather than carry it.

Thankfully the long strap allowed me to do this.

The photo on the left showcases the bag hanging onmy Graco Evo Mini.

The strap was long enough to hang over with ease and it didn't get in the way when I needed to recline the pushchair as Layla fell asleep, all that sitting tired her out!! ;)

I forgot to get another photo but I also managed to squeeze the full to the brim bag in the basket, although I did need a tiny bit of help to get the bag back out after.

And let's not forget this was a family day out, I managed to get a photo of my 5 year old Freya mid run. This was her first sports day and she made me a proud mummy when she came third in her individual race, as did her older sister Elise.

So the Lin & Leo BabyBag has been introduced to the family and enjoyed it's first family day out, I think we completed that challenge, I'm excited to hear what challenge two will be.
