Superphoto Review

I've mentioned previously that I take an awful lot of photos, all of which are currently stored on my phone. The trouble is, I never get around to getting them printed out but I do like to have the chance to sit and look through them.

I was asked in August whether I'd like to review a photobook from Superphoto. I was grateful for the opportunity and was already thinking about which photos I could include.

The photobook which I was asked to review was their landscape 20 x 15 cm worth £9.99

Wallcreate Canvas Review and Giveaway

I love taking pictures, infact I have over 1000 pictures alone just on my mobile phone. The trouble is knowing just what to do with these images once they have been taken. Most of them I get printed out into standard size photos but there are a few which I like to show off so when I was recently contacted by Wallcreate to see if I would like to have one of my photographs printed on to canvas it was a tough decision on which one to choose.

First let me tell you a little bit about Wallcreate, this company have been around since 2001, printing photos and canvas art at affordable prices whilst maintaining superb quality, this is shown in their 100% feedback.

I received a 40cm x 30cm canvas which is priced between £18.97 and £19.97 depending on the size of the frame you choose.

S is for….. Sleep

This weeks alphabet project sees the letter S taking centre stage.

I've decided that S is represented by sleep.

I don't know about you but sleep is something I crave.

I used to spend ours lying in my bed when I was younger or my pit as my mum used to call it.

Only rolling out of it when nature called or when my tummy refused to give up rumbling.

Now sleep is something I just can't seem to find.

I struggle to fall asleep on a daily basis and I think I know the reason why…

Project 365 Days 61 - 67

March has arrived and it bought some Spring sunshine with it too. Nice to see some flowers blooming and being able to step outdoors without getting rained on.

Day 61

The sun was shining so we took our first trip of the year up to Dover Castle.

Day 62

The girls were all congregated on the stairs for a secret meeting.

Creating Memories With Canvas Design

You may have guessed by some of the content on my blog that I like taking photos, I am by no means a professional but I love having all the memories captured. I was recently given the opportunity by Canvas Design to have one of pictures printed onto a canvas. The trouble was deciding which photo to use.

I have a lot of pictures of my children separately but not a lot of them all together so I didn't think it would right to pick one child over the rest.

In the end I decided to take a new picture. When I was having a clear out of things after Christmas I found the bouquet from my wedding.

When thinking of what picture I could take, I realised that we never got a picture of my bouquet specifically, so I thought it would be nice to get a close up photo of it.

Project 365 Days 47 - 53

What a lovely week we've had, it has been half term so the kids have been off school, we haven't done anything too special, it has just been nice to be able relax and recoup, especially after the week before that was full of sickness bugs.

Day 47

It was Gracie's birthday the day before so as a treat we took the girls out for dinner, off to Nando's we went.

Project 365 Days 26 - 32

Wow, can't believe that it is February already, last month definitely went by in a flash. Luckily for me I've been taking all these pictures to help me remember just what happened as I blinked and missed it.

Day 26

One bookworm, one food thief and two children who normally bicker were getting along for a change.

Project 365 Days 19 - 25

Can you believe that nearly a whole month has already flown by. Here is this weeks project365 update.

Day 19

My kids adore food, I think their body clocks revolve around meal times, so of course snack time is a must in the Hazelden household.

Project 365 Days 5 - 11

Week 2 of project 365 and the picture taking is going well, ok I know 11 days doesn't seem like that long but with a memory like mine (permanent baby brain), it becomes hard remembering tasks which I need to do each day.

Day 5

Sunday is lazy day in the Hazelden household so Pjs are normally still on come dinner time. Gracie was playing on the pooh bear toy that we found in the loft that day, Elise was concentrating on that all important TV programme and Freya was teaching Layla all about the potty.

A 5 Year Old Tells the Nativity Story

I've previously had a couple of pieces of work that my 8 year old has created posted on my blog before. Well today I wanted to show you something my lovely 5 year old Freya has been working on. The pictures below are her way of telling you the Nativity story of how Jesus came to be born.

I have posted them in the order that I was told to by my daughter so here goes

Here we have Mary meeting Joseph.

Then the angel Gabriel pays Mary a visit.

Of course they then have to travel to Bethlehem on their (not so little) donkey.

Baby Jesus is born.

Surrounded by sheep,

Camels and elephants?

And they all lived happily ever after, the end.

Draw With Me - Toys

Last month I joined in with the lovely Draw With Me linky when the theme was Halloween. The idea behind the linky is very simple, your child has to draw a picture using the theme that has been set and if your lucky when the linky closes your child might get picked to win a lovely prize.

This month This Mummy Loves and her lovely daughter Maisie have picked the theme of toys and the prize that could be won is a Gruffalo paint and play set and lets be honest, who doesn't love the Gruffalo!!

My eldest daughter Elise was keen to join in again this month, here is her entry :

Elise said that she has drawn this picture as a toy menu poster, showing you which toys would be good to buy, especially to join in with th "Toy Party".

Draw With Me - Halloween

For those of you that don't know, the lovely Sonia over at This Mummy Loves has been running a monthly linky called Draw With Me.

Each month Sonia and her daughter Maisie set a theme and your child has to draw a picture based on this theme. As an added incentive, at the end of the month a random winner is chosen to receive a fab 'creative' prize.

My girls are all little artists and love any excuse to draw some pictures. This months theme is very fitting, Halloween. My three eldest girls all wanted to join in so I am posting a picture for each of them.

FIrst up we have my 7 year old Elise's entry,

She has described this picture as a Halloween fashion show

Next we have mmy 5 year old Freya's entry

This is one scary vampire ready for a fight

Lastly we have my 3 year Gracie's entry,

She said she was drawing flying witches, Elise did help her draw a witches hat on one of them.

The girls have had so much fun coming up with different ideas, we had to narrow it down to these three, when infact they had drawn quite a few each. Can't wait to see next months theme!!
